Some new Flickr pics are up. Just cleaning up the backlog on the camera… I’ve also got some video that I need to process–should get a few Asher clips up soon. Hopefully this weekend.

Asher’s room is done
Rawk
Mmmm. Tastes like cement!
The other day Jared left some chocolate mints in our car. I gave one to Tru and he was digging it. I asked him what it tasted like and he paused for a moment then said, “Cement.” Of course he meant “mint”, but “ce-mint” was what came out. Pretty funny at the time…

New pics
Just in case you miss ’em, I slapped up a few new pictures today. Lots of goodness there, including the patented Idiot Swing and a few nice shots of Tru’s Hefalump traps.
Jailbait
I was taking a walk with “the boys” yesterday (“the boys” being Tru, Asher and Frodo). When Amy saw us coming home, she said we looked like a tower of boy, since Asher was hanging off my chest in a front pack and Truman was on my shoulders.
Anyway, on the way home we were passed by a cop car with a K9 dog in the backseat, who barked at us on the way by. Apparently this was a visual first for Truman. He was sitting on my shoulders and as soon as the car passed us he said “Heydad, I just saw a dog going to jail. That’s sad.” I was barely containing my laughter as I explained about K9 cop dogs.
My new name
My new name is “HeyDad.” Doesn’t matter how close Truman is to me, or whether we’ve just finished talking about something. When he wants my attention it’s “HeyDad…” It’s starting to get comical. I usually reply with “Hey Truman” but he’s not really picking it up yet. Amy just laughs.
Some highlights
So, we’re back! Just wanted to point out a few highlights of the trip. We were able to spend a day and a night with our old friend Hyun–even got to meet his wonderful wife Kyung and his awesome little son Dae Un (probably botched the spelling there). Amy’s school mascot, Spike, has his picture taken all over the world, so we did our part. At the Korean Folk Village they had some sweet swings…now I want to build one in our backyard! Also at the Folk Village, we saw some really cool folk dancers.
And, of course, we have lots of pictures of Asher…
Made it!
I’m sitting at our friend Hyun’s house, uploading pictures from our first meeting with Myung Hee. We met him yesterday and he’s…well, what can I say…he’s great. He’s full of energy, loves to jump and he didn’t cry when we met him. His foster mom is a sweetheart–Myung Hee is her 21st foster baby. She gave us a whole picture album of photos from when he was six days old up through last week.
Today we spent the day with Hyun and his family. We spent much of the day at a traditional Korean folk village…tons of pics on Flickr now.
Guess that’s it. More when we get home on Thursday…
