I took half a day off on Friday to drive Myung Hee’s paperwork down to the adoption agency’s main office in Eugene. I’d done the same thing for Tru a few years ago, plus I just felt a little bit better about handing over that HUGE check in person rather than sending it via FedEx.
Anyway, it takes a couple of hours to drive to Eugene from Newberg. I listened to an audiobook on the way, so it went pretty fast. I know that the good folks at Holt weren’t expecting me to show up with our paperwork, so their response upon receipt of our stuff was understandable. They just essentially said thanks and we’ll be in touch. And I got back in my car and drove another two hours back home.
But it sure would’ve been nice if they’d had a big old bell that they rang, or at least an ‘ah ooo gah’ horn or something, every time someone brings in their final paperwork. They could ring the bell and everyone in the office could shout “HEY!” or something.
Just looking for a little acknowedgement here… 🙂
Way to go!!!
Bren, they are not Cold Stone ice cream yo!
Actually, I agree with you. In the admission office at GFU we used to ring a bell when we got a confirmation. Not sure if they still have it, that was back when the admission offices were in a house, not a big building. But if they do still have it, maybe you here it “dong” upstairs every now and again.
Ding, Ding, Ding
HEY!
I looked and looked for an appropriate flash woo hoo and here is the best I could find. So…WooHoo
